Competition KG Bumper Plates | Color

Please read these important details first if you are buying plates:

  • US Customers only - we are not able to ship these plates internationally
  • If you are placing a plate order please DO NOT combine other equipment with the order as the shipping calculation will not be accurate, and we will have to invoice you for additional shipping charges. Please place a second, separate order for the other equipment.
  • If you are purchasing a smaller number of plates (by weight) they will ship via UPS Ground. There is a shipping option specific for bumper plates that you must select during checkout.
  • If you are purchasing a large number of plates, LTL Freight is the most affordable option and you will be able to select it at checkout as well as see an estimated delivery timeframe.
  • 2-3 week lead time

Our competition pound plates are all black and feature a special "KABUKI" branding with our squat face incorporated into the design. This unique design will be exclusive to our competition pound and kilo bumper plates.

Practically speaking, the elements that make up a successful and quality bumper plate are build quality, bounce rating, tolerances, and design.

Build Quality:

Our plates are made with high quality, solid virgin rubber and feature zinc-coated steel hubs. The plates are warrantied for 4 years against defects.

Bounce Rating:

With an average durometer rating of 90, these plates will have minimal bounce and are suited for the repetitive use of an olympic lifter.

Our plates are guaranteed to be within 0.3% of their claimed weight and are sized to IWF standards for plate diameter and collar diameter. This means a snug and smooth fit on your favorite bar!

Simple and clean, the KABUKI branding stands out clearly from across the gym and piques the viewers interest with a distinct design for the letter U.

Point of transparency:

Unlike all of our equipment, we do not manufacture our own bumper plates. For commodity items like plates, companies typically source them from a third party that imports plates meeting their specification and prints their custom branding. In fact, most of the US-based strength equipment companies you are familiar with don't manufacture their own plates.

That being said, our plates are sourced from a third-party who is know for providing the highest quality bumper plates on the market. They are widely utilized by the top respected brands in the industry for this reason and stand behind their work as well as provide a great warranty against defects. We are proud to work with them and offer our customers high-quality Kabuki Strength bumper plates!

    Ask a Question
    • When will bumper plates be back in stock? Also am wanting to check on my order for my transformer bar.

Thank you for reaching out to us at Kabuki Strength.  Our bumper plates are all made to order by our manufacturer on the East coast.  Unfortunately, they have been forced to scale down to a skeleton staff due to COVID19 government mandates in their State.  Their Governor stated they would re-evaluate the situation in a few more weeks after they see how their Phase 1 of reopening is working and if they have an uptick in cases.  In order to be sure they are not overwhelmed when they return, driving lead times from 2-3 weeks to 2-3 months, we have completely suspended sales until they are able to resume full operation.  Unfortunately, we don't have a firm date on when that will occur.  I apologize for the inconvenience.  We are taking email addresses on the product page for when they are able to be manufactured again, if you'd like to enroll for the alert:
Just select the type of bumper plate for which you'd like the notification and enter your email address there.

In regard to your Transformer Bar order, you may email Customer Service at with your full name and order number.  They have access to the manufacturing schedule and shipping list to let you know how far along in the process your bar has come and an estimate on completion.
