Using a cutting edge optical sensor designed in-house, FLEX measures lift performance with laser accuracy and gives powerful real-time feedback through your smartphone.
FLEX allows individual athletes to train better, avoid injury and track their progress with accuracy. Using the same technologies and training methods as elite athletes, you can access real time metrics including Power, Velocity, Distance and Bar Path on each and every lift.
With the rise in popularity of Velocity Based Training, individual athletes are able to take advantage of the FLEX as a way to pre-determine their training load. Velocity Based Training uses velocity as a biometric feedback tool to gauge weight training on a day to day basis. Basically, velocity output helps dictate how much load you should be adding or removing on a particular set, or if you should move on and try a new exercise altogether.
There has never been an easier way to accurately measure your performance in the weights room. Whether you’re interested in validated metrics, keen to challenge your mates, or simply want to improve, FLEX is the perfect addition to your kit bag. Take the guesswork out of your sessions and train with FLEX; with Lift Intelligence.
VELOCITY: Maintain intensity and choose the optimum weight for every lift.
POWER: Immediate feedback on the performance of every lift and monitor results.
DISTANCE: Maintain range as you fatigue and improve overall technique.
BAR PATH: (horizontal): Identify opportunities to refine technique.
BAR POSITION: (vertical): Spot sticking points and improve efficiency.
WIRELESS: Rapid bluetooth 5.0 connectivity and over 10 yard range.
PRECISE: Our laser optic array is ultra precise for trusted data.
PORTABLE: Lightweight and compact, FLEX fits in even the most overcrowded gym bag.

For 15 years we have provided the sports industry with the world’s leading performance measurement device, GymAware. Our passion for performance and a commitment to continued improvement for all athletes led us to develop the definitive individuals’ solution, FLEX.
FLEX gives individuals the power of accurate performance data previously restricted to the elite. By integrating cutting edge laser optic technology, FLEX ticks all the boxes – portable, accurate and affordable.
Like GymAware, FLEX measures barbell velocity, power, distance, bar path and bar movement. Every rep is measured and every set is tracked. Real-time lift performance displayed through the FLEXStronger app holds you accountable to session intensity and training zones.
FLEX encourages a more social training experience. Compare results, share with friends and follow the performance of your sporting heroes.
At its core, FLEX is all about assisting you to make informed training decisions, in real time and with superior accuracy. Change the way you train, forever.
I play pro baseball and have used the Gymaware unit in the past. It’s very expensive, but awesome for training explosiveness and power. This is a great alternative if you don’t want to spend $3k. The app is super easy to use, and I found the unit to have consistent readings which allow you to get a good idea of where you’re at. The app has 20 or 30 different exercises programmed into the flex that measure your exercises differently. For example, a back squat will have a slightly different bar path and total distance traveled than a deadlift. The Flex measurements will adjust to the different exercises. I haven’t compared the Flex measurements to the accuracy to the Gymaware, but on its own, the data seems reliable. You’re able to compare your reps and get an idea of bar path, overall power per rep, bar velocity, and other useful metrics. The unit itself is like a magnetic cap that attaches to the end of your barbell. It’s somewhat adjustable, but make sure there’s no plastic at the end of your bar so it doesn’t fall off. There is a reflective matt that you will have to put on the side of your rack in order for the device to read your reps, so keep that in mind if you’re tight on space.
