Check out this quick virtual coaching overview video that highlights the primary features and functions of our virtual coaching service, which are also listed in the section below.
This is our flagship and most popular Virtual Coaching service. Weekly Virtual Coaching includes comprehensive assessment and engagement to promote the best possible coach/athlete relationship. Our team has spent years building systems and processes to help optimize and provide the best possible feedback and direction forward week to week using various methods of autoregulation, frequent feedback, and video analysis. We view this coaching as a long-term athletic development process, not just a 12-week program to peak you for a meet. This means we’re devoted to the holistic picture of helping you to improve in the direction of your specific goals and approaching them from all possible angles to help you to the greatest degree possible.
Something that sets us apart from other coaching services is that we are exactly that, a coaching service. This is not a template or even just an individual program. Our goal is long-term development of the individual and we try to cover all the bases for that as it relates to training. In addition to receiving an updated training program weekly, you will also be given a movement plan at the beginning and as needed later which gives technical cues to work on based on video analysis, and corrective drills to begin to address faults in technique. This helps us ensure we’re developing movement quality in conjunction with other athletic qualities to help optimize not only your performance but also longevity.
Remote coaching has some unique obstacles not present during tradition in-person coaching. Most challenges revolve around communication which is why we’ve created systems to manage multiple communicatory paths. We combine the objective information provided in your training log with the subjective information provided in your weekly check-ins to decide what needs updated and ultimately to determine how effective the training is. Ultimately, once you become part of the Kabuki Strength Team you become the most important person to us. Your goals become our goals and we only have your best interest in mind.

The hands-on nature of this service makes it well suited for anyone and everyone looking to live better through strength.
Coaching goes far beyond just a program. Once you become part of the Kabuki Strength Team you become the most important person to us. Your goals become our goals and we only have your best interest in mind. There’s just something special about having someone in your corner no matter what. Becoming a member of our team is like having someone you can always rely on to provide you with the complete support and objective feedback possible to support your goals. This is much more than what’s written in your training log. We are here to foster a relationship that is lasting. Normal training has many high points and equally deep low points. We want to experience all of it with you.
We’ve spent years pouring through scientific material to better understand what makes top performers in our field great. Through this effort and applying what we learn everyday to athletes across the world we’ve developed a truly unique approach that combines a clinically based movement system with scientific training practices.
We are a coaching and education company first. When you join our athlete roster you receive a data driven training program built 100% from scratch for you only. Your will be program fluid and we adapt to your needs as an athlete. At the end of the day our ultimate goal is to take as much off your plate as possible to allow you to completely focus on gaining strength, building muscle, being healthier, and moving better.

For 2 ½ years I have trained with Cassandra and the Kabuki Strength Team. Previous to this I had used two other online strength trainer/programmer. I can honestly say that Kabuki is heads-and-tails above the others for the following reasons:
Chris Duffin is a master at bio-mechanics : he has far more insight (and practical knowledge) than anyone else , and by a wide margin.
KS does a weekly video review of your technique. This has proven invaluable in learning and applying their prescribed movement patterns
KS custom tailors each weeks programming for the individual. This greatly improves training response over time.
Some of the KS approach may seem overly detailed and perhaps subtle. However when you start moving heavy weights these subtleties are what pay off and allow you to lift more and do it safely.
KS also has a variety of innovative and thoughtful bars and accessories, such as the Shoulder Rok.
KS is the next best thing to having a full time strength coach in person. They are also very cool people 😊
Coach Kyle Young’s dedication to his athletes is unrivaled! His attention to technical detail is unmatched and keeps his lifters making massive gains and staying healthy while doing it. A professional with an extraordinary depth of knowledge and commitment to his athlete’s success.
If you are reading this, then chances are you care about moving well and you are looking to elevate your abilities in the field of powerlifting. In this regard, Cassandra is at the top of her game. Drawing on a Kabuki knowledge base that is broad in its scope and focused in its application, Cassandra has the uncanny ability to break down movements with pinpoint precision making sure you understand the what, why and how of a training method and program. She cares profoundly about what she does and is resolute in her dedication to (and support of) those she coaches.
Simply put, working with Cassandra and the Kabuki Strength organization as a whole has been a great experience and to date, the most rewarding investment I have made with respect to my personal health.
I used to think I could only be trained by someone who was in the same room as me. I was wrong. I am in NY. Cassandra is in Oregon. Despite being over 2,000 miles away Cassandra not only has me moving better, she has me moving more weight better.
At the end of the day, if you want to improve how you move and get stronger in the process, then you are right where you need to be with Kabuki Strength. Sign on - you'll thank yourself.
Kabuki coaches know their stuff. I've been working with Daniel a little over 6 months and even though I'd been lifting for years in the past, expert cues individualized to me and my lifting form have done wonders. Quickly making what was a shaky 2 rep on the bench, slapping 40lbs on it and making it even more solid than before, for one example. You might have to unlearn some bad habits, but when stuff clicks, weight flies.
I used to follow the cookie cutter programs and it was easy to not put in the work and become complacent or just assume I know what the issue is and do a lot of work for next to no pay off. With Kabuki Virtual Coaching you get out, what you put in. Daniel is very good about listening and learning how I recover and feel about lifts and ensures that I'm always on track and working as hard as I can.
Daniel is great at no BS telling me what I need to do to fix what's going on and even though virtual, makes the points known, and if it's not clear, works with me to ensure I understand.
Daniel has been my coach for about 6 months now, and I’ve gotten everything I knew I needed and more from him.
I originally reached out because I knew I had form issues. For the last two years I’d varied between programs recommended online and app-based workouts. I’d done a lot of research, and conceptually I knew the right cues, the way a lift should look, etc., but I’d still managed to mess my shoulder up, my elbow hadn’t felt great, and I just generally felt like I was running downhill picking up speed - something I couldn’t afford at age 41. We’ve spent a lot of time in these months, with Daniel giving a lot of feedback in response to almost daily videos I’ve sent over, and not only has my form massively improved such that I feel whole and healthy again, but I’m a lot stronger, too. Amazing what staying tight and not leaking energy can do for your lifts!
More than that, though, I’ve stuck with the coaching because I’ve gotten a lot more than “just” form improvements. Having a coach to change up my programming, while explaining to me the reasons behind it, has been a great educational (and fun) experience. While my nutrition was kind of ok already (I’d dropped massive amounts of weight at 39, and knew the fundamentals) he’s also helped me improve my targets there, again frequently explaining not just the what but also the why so that I could gain the maximum benefit from my training... Back in December 2020, I decided that in 2021 I would enter a powerlifting competition ( it had been 24 years since I last competed). I have and currently am both a trainer and owner of multiple fitness centers and I work out consistently 4-5 days a week. I wanted to seek out an experienced coach to help set up my training blocks and prep me for competition. I researched and decided Kabuki Strength was the best fit for me. In January 2021 Brandon Senn at Kabuki paired me up with Daniel Debrocke ( Who I call Big D). Almost instantly during our first call, I knew it was a great match. Whatever plan Daniel laid out I would follow, I trusted the process. I would send Big d videos and he would break down the positives in my execution but more importantly, he would break down my area of execution weakness, and every time he was "spot On". After re-working my longtime "bodybuilding " form, I began to finally feel some "power". On Saturday, June 19th I competed in my first competition in over 24 years, and with the guidance, planning, and help of Daniel, I set USPA drug-free Masters California state and National Bench Press Record (330.7 lbs 162lb bodyweight,50 years young). With Daniels's continued guidance I am training for the IPL worlds this November. I want to give Daniel thanks for sharing his vast knowledge, expertise, passion, and enthusiasm in his profession for propelling me to the top. Again thanks Big D, more competitions and PRs are ahead.
